Product Description

This diamond file is ideal for reed making and adjusting due to its unique pyramid shape. This shape has one larger flat side allowing you to make more generalistic adjustments, two smaller flat sides which allow for finer adjustments and three 'knife' edges allowing for very precise scraping / filing!

The use of diamonds means that the tool will never blunt making it very cost effective. When using this file there is little need for a knife, which means no more time spent sharpening and honing blades. All you need to do to clean the file of excess cane is to dip it in water, where any debris falls off easily and then dry it.

This reed adjusting file is 14cm long, includes a comfortable soft touch rubber handle and will fit into a tiny space for transportation when required.

Good for fine adjustments. A knife removes wood a lot faster, but sometimes you need a less aggressive tool for the job, and this one fills the need.

Remember, you can't put the wood back on once it's off!

I fail to see how the other reviews here could be real. The file is so fine that it's of no use. It'd take a VERY long time to remove any cane material at all.

Dear Mitchell, This file is quite fine but this is through intention as it is intended for the final finishing off / adjusting of the reeds rather than taking masses of cane off. We don't offer any harsher diamond files at the moment but this is certainly something we will look into! All the best, Matthew @ C&S
